COMELEC – Commissioner Rowena Guanzon reacted to the statement of the party of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

The social media platforms were taken by storm by the recent statement of Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon. She is one of the three-member division handling the consolidated petitions against the presidential candidacy of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos.

Guazon claimed that they have already agreed to release the resolution on January 17. The ponente or the one who will write the resolution is Commissioner Aimee Ferolino.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Guanzon admitted that she believes that there is political interference that is why there is a delay in the release of the decision. According to her, Ferolino is not answering her calls. She stressed that she really extended her patience to her limits waiting for the resolution to be out.

Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon also revealed her decision on the three (3) consolidated petitions seeking the disqualification of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr. – she voted to disqualify him saying she believes there is really grounds for moral turpitude.

Following her statements, Marcos Jr.’s party Partido Federal ng Pilipinas want her disbarred. They also call for her investigation and the forfeiture of her retirement benefits and lifetime pension.

On social media, she cited a question if the presidential aspirant knows what his party is doing. According to her, she can file contempt against them and send them to jail as she is the presiding commissioner while his case is pending.
