After several members of Ben&Ben test positive for COVID-19, the group decided to postpone their Dubai show
BEN&BEN – The OPM band postponed their performance in Dubai after several members of the group tested positive for COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic remains to be the biggest challenge that the country is facing today. This disease that started way back in 2019 in Wuhan, China has placed a lot of lives at risk and has even taken the lives of many people.
A lot of personalities such as celebrities, elites, and even politicians were infected with the coronavirus as well.
Among those who contracted the dreaded virus are no less than members of the OPM band, Ben&Ben.
This prompted the group to postpone their supposed performance at the Expo Dubai 2020 this January 27, 2022.
Here’s the official statement of the band:
Ben&Ben will announce the new date of their concert in Dubai through their social media channels.
The group, on the other hand, thanked their fans known as “Liwanag” for “patience” and “understanding.
Ben&Ben, formerly known as The Benjamins, is a folk pop/pop rock band formed in 2015 which is known for their popular hits such as “Kathang-Isip”, “Pagtingin”, “Araw-Araw”, and among others.
The group is composed of nine (9) members with Paolo Benjamin Guico as the lead vocals and acoustic guitar as well as Miguel Benjamin Guico on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Poch Barretto on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Pat Lasaten on keyboards, Andrew de Pano on percussion and backing vocals, Toni Muñoz on percussion and vocals and Keifer Cabugao on violin and vocals.
