Koko Pimentel Says “Misled” Members Of Cusi Faction Can Return To “Real” PDP-Laban

Senator Koko Pimentel said that his faction has a program that will let “misled” PDP-Laban party members from the Cusi faction to return.

The PDP-Laban faction headed by Senators Manny Pacquiao and Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III has a program that will let “misled” party members from the Cusi faction to return.

However, Pimentel said that the said program will not be open to leaders of the PDP-Laban faction led by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.

In an interview with DWIZ, Pimentel said that his faction will have a “Balik PDP-Laban Program” for those who felt “misled” but the said program will not be open to leaders of the “power-grabber and breakaway group”.

The ruling party had been split into two factions: the one faction led by Cusi that supported Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go’s candidacy for president in the 2022 elections; and the other faction led by Pimentel and Pacquiao which supported the latter’s candidacy for president.

Go, however, recently announced that he’s withdrawing from the presidential race and said that it’s “not yet [his] time”.

According to Pimentel, those members who wanted to return to the “real” PDP-Laban faction should write to their headquarters in order to apply for the said program.

Para ito sa mga naisyuhan ng CONA (certificate of nomination and acceptance) na PDP-Laban, para lang malegitimize na rin ang pagtakbo nila, kasi baka maquestion pa ‘yan,” Pimentel said. “Dadaan sila sa proseso. Aayusin ‘yung pwede maayos.
