Miss Universe winner turns emotional during encounter with Beatrice Luigi Gomez
BEATRICE LUIGI GOMEZ – The country’s bet had an emotional encounter with the newest Miss Universe queen, Harnaaz Sandhu from India.
It was just recently when Harnaaz Sandhu of India was crowned as the 70th titleholder of the prestigious pageant.
The beauty queen from India is the third candidate to win the Miss Universe title for India after the victory of Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.
She was followed by Paraguay’s Nadia Ferreira who landed the first runner-up and Lalela Mswane from South Africa who clinched the second runner-up spot.
Apparently, the country’s bet failed to reach the Top 3 after clinching only the Top 5.
Despite she wasn’t able to covet the title, she earned the respect of her fellow candidates, most especially the Miss Universe 2021 winner.

Meanwhile, Beatrice Luigi Gomez is a 26-year-old beauty queen who hails from Cebu City. She stands at 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in).
She studied at the University of San Jose–Recoletos and pursued a degree in Mass Communication. However, due to circumstances, she stopped. At the time, she was a volleyball player for the university.
She entered the world of pageantry in 2015 via the Miss Mandaue pageant where she won as 2nd runner up.
In 2020, she represented San Fernando at the Binibining Cebu. Eventually, she coveted the title and succeeded Steffi Rose Aberasturi of Mandaue City.
Earlier this year, she went through the basic citizens’ military course training which made her become part of the Philippine Navy Reserve Unit.
Beatrice is a proud member of the LGBTQIA community. In fact, she has been open about her relationship with DJ and entrepreneur Kate Jagdon. They have been together for more than five (5) years. However, last month, Kate announced that they have ended their romance.
It was on September 30 when she was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2021.
