DUTERTE ADMIN – Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III claimed that the biggest achievement of the present administration is the infrastructure program dubbed Build, Build, Build.

Sotto made the statement in an ANC interview when asked about the most notable program under President Rodrigo Duterte.

According to him, Build, Build, Build is the biggest achievement of the Duterte administration.

Build! Build! Build! Program the government’s infrastructure plan which is said to usher in the “Golden Age of Infrastructure”.

The goals of the program are to reduce poverty, encourage economic growth and reduce congestion in Metro Manila.

Under the program, 214 airport projects, 451 commercial social and tourism port projects, 29,264 kilometers of roads, 5,950 bridges, 11,340 flood control projects, 11,340 evacuation centers, and 150,149 classrooms had been completed as of July 2021.

On the other hand, Sotto claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic is the biggest failure of the Duterte administration.

“The delay in addressing the problem of the pandemic, perhaps,” he said.

Meanwhile, in a surprise move, the country’s highest leader filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) as he seek a senatorial post in the 2022 elections.

Atty. Melchor Aranas filed on his behalf at the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) main office in Intramuros, Manila City.

President Duterte will run under the Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan (PDDS), as a substitute candidate for Liezl Visorde.
