Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte welcomed the UniTeam Alliance formed by four parties.
SARA DUTERTE — The Lakas-CMD chairperson and vice-presidential aspirant welcomed the UniTeam Alliance formed by four political parties.
On Thursday, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said that their agreement will cut across political colors for the sake of the Filipino people.
“As your Vice Presidential candidate, I am proud of this agreement that powerfully illustrates leadership transcending throughout political colors,” Mayor Sara said.
Mayor Sara was referring to the signing of the UniTeam Alliance agreement that committed support for candidacies of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr and the city executive.
Aside from PFP, other signatories of the coalition pact were the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), and the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP).
According to Mayor Sara, the UniTeam Alliance didn’t only show their firm aspirations for the Philippines but also “echoes loudly of our triumph to peacefully unite and stand side by side in the pursuit of continued development and positive change for our fellow Filipinos and the Philippines”.
Mayor Sara pointed out that the UniTeam has achieved unity amidst the “political noise and bickering” that have blurred the problems confronting the Filipino people.

Lakas-CMD president and House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez said in the same event that the coalition launched yesterday was just the start for the UniTeam.
“We dream of a grand coalition of national and regional parties with local alliances that share our vision of a better future for this generation and the next,” Romualdez said.
Romualdez added that choosing to support Bongbong’s presidential bid had been based on what Lakas-CMD believed he can do for the country.
Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) president and Davao Occidental Governor Claude Bautista, for his part, described the BBM-Sara as a partnership “really made in heaven”.
South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo and former senator Jinggoy Estrada also declared the support of their political parties, PFP and PMP, respectively, to the BBM-Sara tandem.
