He will go against presidential aspirants such as; Vice President Leni Robredo, former Senator Bongbong Marcos, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, and Senators Manny Pacquiao, as well as Ping Lacson.

But in a surprise move, the Senator allegedly announced that he will no longer push through with his candidacy.

According to Governor Manuel Mamba of Cagayan, even some of the cabinet secretaries of the president were surprised by his decision.

In a report of Bombo Radyo, Mamba thought that Bong Go would ask for support that’s why they were summoned for a meeting.

Watch the report in the video provided below:

The governor of Cagayan said that the senator was saddened by his decision but he don’t want to be the reason for the people close to him and his party, split up.

Go said he would prefer to sacrifice for the common good of the country.

Go also said as per the statement of Mamba that President Duterte may have a hard time because of the candidacy of his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

For now, Go said he only plans to continue what he started by helping those in need.

It can be recalled that it was only yesterday when Go announced that he was considering withdrawing from the presidency.

Meanwhile, Senator Go’s camp has yet to issue any statement with regards to the claims of Mamba.
