It’s common to hear promises during campaign season. While some have been accomplished in the first few years of their term, there are those that were not materialized. Thus, remained as “promises.”

Speaking of which, Robredo, shared her vision when elected for the said post.

The vice president will run for the highest position in the coming elections alongside her vice presidential running mate, Kiko Pangilinan. She will go against presidential aspirants such as; former Senator Bongbong Marcos, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and senators Manny Pacquiao, Bong Go and Ping Lacson.

On Thursday, November 18, she shared what is her vision for the Philippines.

According to her, she envisions making the Philippines “a country where fairness reigns.”

One of the first things that she would do when elected as president is to double the current P557-billion budget of the Department of Education (DepEd).

In terms of the infrastructure, the presidential aspirant said she would “prioritize feasible and strategic projects that provide high impact for the Filipino people.”

She noted that her government would “map the points where corruption enters the procurement process, and we will plug those holes.”

Presently, the government’s infrastructure plan is Build! Build! Build! Program. It is said to usher in the “Golden Age of Infrastructure.”

Under the program, 214 airport projects, 451 commercial social and tourism port projects, 29,264 kilometers of roads, 5,950 bridges, 11,340 flood control projects, 11,340 evacuation centers, and 150,149 classrooms had been completed as of July 2021.

Apparently, she did not give her thoughts about the health sector and others. But Robredo has been active in helping the Filipino people ever since the pandemic.
