Rabiya Mateo to Neil Salvacion: “Hindi rin madali ‘yung seven years na pinagsamahan namin “
RABIYA MATEO – The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 still considers Neil Salvacion, her ex-boyfriend as her best friend.
It’s rare to see ex-lovers turning to friends.
Usually, when the relationship is over, the couple tends to unfriend his/her former partner.
Apparently, that’s not the case for Rabiya and Neil.
It was in June this year when Neil, a nurse, confirmed his breakup with the beauty queen after having been in a relationship for seven (7) years.
Months after their breakup, Rabiya was asked about their status. According to her, Neil is still her best friend.
“Kahit anong ibato ng tao for the both of us, alam ko po na he’s my best friend. Hindi rin madali ‘yung seven years na pinagsamahan namin,” she said.
She also shared that Neil lost his mom three weeks ago and she’s sympathizing with him because of what he’s going through
“If he needs me, I’m going to be there as a friend,” the beauty queen added.
It was in September when Neil Salvacion auditioned for the Kapamilya reality show na “Pinoy Big Brother.”
In his audition video, the COVID nurse said: “Nakakalungkot man mag-isolate ng ilang buwan, mas nakakalungkot pala maiwan ka ng taong minamahal mo dahil sa pangarap nitong korona.”
When Rabiya was asked about it, the beauty queen revealed that Neil already apologized to her for the so-called “patama.”
Meanwhile, Rabiya considers her failed relationship with Neil a “lesson learned.”
