Pacquiao, a professional boxer-turned-politician will run for the highest position in the government in the coming polls.

He will go against presidential aspirants such as; Vice President Leni Robredo, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and senators Ping Lacson and Bato dela Rosa. An immense battle among the candidates is expected in the coming months before the election.

Meanwhile, in his speech before businessmen, the presidential candidate vowed that his wife will not be like Imelda Marcos if ever his wife becomes the nation’s first lady.

According to him, Jinkee is actually a shy person and not keen on politics.

“Ang asawa ko ay mahiyain at hindi mahilig sa pulitika. Ang gusto niya ay magserbisyo, tumulong sa mga kababaihan at lalung-lalo na ‘yung mahihirap,” he said.

When asked if his wife is inclined to indulge in luxuries like the wife of Marcos, he responded: “Hindi po, chinecheck ko po ‘yan dahil kilala ko ‘yung asawa ko, hindi siya gano’n.”

Imelda Marcos’ name became associated with extravagance because of her 3,000 pairs of expensive shoes as well as jewelry and artwork.

Meanwhile, Jinkee made a buzz last August over her supposedly expensive designer outfit during Manny’s fight with Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás in Las Vegas.

Some netizens called her outfit “too lavish.”

Despite the criticisms she has been receiving, Jinkee still posts her expensive stuff on social media.
