Meet Jenika Duran, a Pinay nurse who works as a babysitter/singer in Italy
JENIKA DURAN – A Filipina nurse who works as a babysitter in Italy captivated the hearts of the Italians with her singing prowess.
Jenika is a nurse who went to Italy to be with her family. She works there as a babysitter.
But other than that, her voice is beautiful, so with the help of an Italian guitarist, she performs in plazas, such as Alba, Milan, and Torino.
In the videos posted by Jenika on her YouTube account, it’s obvious how Italians admire her talent.
Jenika’s story was also featured on The Filipino Channel (TFC) News on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
Like many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Italy, she is not able to use her profession there. Most of them work as domestic helpers, caregivers, and babysitters.
But with the support of loved ones, Jenika was able to adjust.
Based on her Facebook account, Jenika graduated in Nursing from the College of the Holy Spirit in Tarlac and was able to work at San Lazaro Hospital in Manila.
Currently, she lives in Alba, Italy along with her family.
Jenika is determined to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer.
In fact, she also performed in ABS-CBN’s talent competition I Can See Your Voice.
“My dream is to share what talent the Lord has given me and I can make many people happy,” said Jenika.
Aside from singing in various places in Italy, Jenika aspires to perform in other countries.
