RS Francisco on Ex-Battalion: “Sila ang talagang hip-hop stars na parang BTS”
EX-BATTALION – The premiere hip-hop group is “kapantay ng BTS” according to concert producer RS Francisco.
The group of rappers is considered the most successful mainstream hip-hop collective in the country.
It is behind the hit single “Hayaan Mo Sila” which even landed as Number 2 in Billboard Philippine Top 20 in 2017.
Presently composed of Honcho, Skusta Clee, Flow-G, King Badger, Emcee Rhenn, Brando, Jroa, Yuridope, Kekkpot, Huddasss, Jnskie, Bullet-D, Cent, and E.I.J., Ex-Battalion is gearing up for their concert this coming December 3 at Araneta Coliseum with a live simulcast online.
The three-hour live concert dubbed “Evoluxion: An Ex Battalion Online Concert” will feature all their signature hits.
The tickets for their upcoming concert range from P300 up to P35000– which will give fans access to online concert, plus Printed Ticket, EXB Greetings via Zoom, EXB “Inside Kwento” via zoom, signed EXB poster plus EXB Mask and Shirt, RS Mask and Shirt, SV shirt and jacket, and an exclusive dinner with the EXB with an exclusive access to the Listening Party (inclusive of cocktails) featuring never-before-heard (Unreleased) Ex B tracks.
As for the perks of PHP35,000 VVIP ticket, concert producer RS Francisco was asked if the group is now at the level of BTS, the most popular K-pop group.
“Of course, alam natin na hindi sila K-pop, pero ang equivalent nila, sila ang talagang hip-hop stars na parang BTS na rin ang datingan nila,” he said.
According to him, the biggest challenge in the group’s upcoming concert is the absence of a studio audience.
The last company even of RS in Araneta Coliseum happened in 2019 and based on his statement, “55,000 people ang audience namin.”
Despite the pandemic, one of the driving forces of RS to pursue the online concert of Ex-Battalion is to make the fans happy.
