Here’s the latest update about the mysterious case of Maya Millete
LARRY MILLETE – The husband of Maya Millete, a Filipino-American woman who had been missing for more than nine (9) months, was arrested after being tagged as the prime suspect in the alleged death and disappearance of the latter.
According to the Chula Vista Police Chief Roxana Kennedy, Maya’s husband was arrested in their home in East Chula Vista, San Diego, California.
Maya, who was last seen by her family members at her residence in East Chula Vista at around 5 in the evening of January 7, had called a divorce attorney that same day.
Maya wanted a divorce from Larry. In fact, a friend of Maya alleges that she was a victim of domestic violence caused by her husband.
Maya, a 39-year-old Filipino American, was a civilian employee of the United States Navy. She last worked as a contract specialist for the Naval Information Warfare Center.
As of today, there were 67 search warrants and 87 interviews conducted.
The police investigation led to identifying Millete as the person responsible for May’s murder and disappearance.
Meanwhile, the three children of May are under safe custody said, Kennedy.
Maya’s sister Maricris Drouaillet, who first reported that she was missing, has appealed to the public to help them locate the body of their missing sibling.
An investigation is still ongoing in order to locate the missing body of May.
May originally came from the Philippines and is the daughter Pablito Tabalanza and Noemi Tabalanza, Conan Daily reported.
