BRIDE – Marlyn Ilustrisimo was still in her wedding gown when she received her 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine right after her wedding.

The COVID-19 vaccination is ongoing in the Philippines now. The country is one of the several nations across the globe that are in the pursuit to achieve population protection against the virus through the vaccines.

The government continues to encourage the public to get vaccinated. There are still a lot of people who are hesitant to receive the jabs and have yet to set an appointment for the vaccination.

Based on a report on GMA-7 News, Marlyn Ilustrisimo was set to receive her 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine on the same day of her wedding. Although it is a busy day, the bride see to it that she meets her vaccination appointment.

The bride was still in her wedding gown when she came at a Rural Health Unit in Sta. Fe town in Bantayan Island, Cebu to receive her 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

According to Marlyn, she really made sure to get to her vaccination appointment as she is thinking about her health and as well as her family’s. She also recognized that there are a lot of people who refuse to get the jab.

The national government targets to vaccinate at least 70 million people to achieve population protection against COVID-19. Currently, the while nation remains under community quarantine measures amid the threats of coronavirus.

Different mutated versions of the virus were detected in the Philippines. Everyone is encouraged to continue practicing the health protocols and to stay away from crowded areas as much as possible.
