The suspect was identified as Police Master Sgt. Hensie Zinampan of the Police Security and Protection Group.

It was past 9 pm when the victim bought a cigarette at a store outside their house.

The suspect followed him while hiding the gun.

“Nung pagkasabunot po kay ante Susan sabi po, ‘sir wag niyo naman po ako sabunutan’…Pagkasabunot kay ante sa buhok binaril po kaagad siya,” said Joanne Luceño, a relative of the victim who witnessed the incident.

Zinampan was not on duty when he shot the victim.

According to the victim’s daughter Beverly Luceño, the suspect and the victim had previously quarreled.

On May 1, the police allegedly clashed with the victim’s husband and child. The suspect also allegedly threatened the victim.

In a media interview, the suspect even denied that he killed the grandmother.

Authorities recovered the gun used.

The Quezon City Police District has arrested the suspect who is set to be charged with murder.

In December 2020, at the height of the issue of Jonel Nuezca’s shooting of the Gregorio family, the suspect posted on Facebook that not all policemen officers are bad.
