Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Maris Racal recently opened up about the status of her relationship with former Rivermaya frontman Rico Blanco.
Maris and Rico made headlines last March after she published a birthday greeting to the latter which sparked dating rumors. Neither Maris, 23, nor Rico, 48, confirmed being an official couple at that time.
Rico and Maris first had a public exchange on social media last 2018 when Maris sought creative input for her music. At that time, a fan of both tagged Rico in a comment on Maris’s tweet, getting an affirmative answer from Rico.
In 2019, Maris and Rico released a duet of her single “Abot Langit” wherein he was credited as a collaborator.

In a digital press conference for two upcoming “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episodes, Maris admitted that she’s happy with Rico.
“Kami po ni Rico. I think basing po sa post na ginawa ko po, I think it’s very obvious. Right now, we are very excited and busy din. We are preparing such beautiful music together. Kaya abangan nila ‘yon soon,” Maris said when asked about the status of her relationship with Rico.
Also in the conference, Maris expressed her excitement doing a two-part episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” titled “Finding Papa” with Cris Villanueva as the father of her character.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, their “Father’s Day” episode will air on June 12 and June 19 at 9:00 p.m.
