Billy Crawford on Kuya Kim: “Nung sinabi niyang lilipat siya sa Seven, we were really happy for him.”
BILLY CRAWFORD – The TV5 host revealed that he knew about the offer of GMA-7 to former Kapamilya weatherman Kim Atienza also known as Kuya Kim.
Currently, Billy is one of the main co-hosts of Lunch Out Loud, the daily block time noontime program of TV5.
According to him, before Kuya Kim transferred to GMA-7, the latter has opened up about it during a motorcycle ride with director Bobet Vidanes.
Billy and Kuya Kim are former co-hosts of ABS-CBN noontime program, It’s Showtime.
Kim Atienza first left the noontime show in 2016 while Billy left in 2018.
On the other hand, Bobet is the former creator and director of It’s Showtime from 2009 until he transferred to LOL in November 2020.
Billy shared that Bobet and their friends were happy for the opportunity given to Kuya Kim.
He looks up to Kuya Kim as the resident weatherman of TV Patrol, the primetime newscast of ABS-CBN as well as a host of Matanglawin, the multi-awarded educational program of Kapamilya network.
He stressed that he supports Kuya Kim amid the criticism he’s receiving over his network transfer.
Meanwhile, Kuya Kim confirmed in virtual mediacon talking to Billy and director Bobet about his plan to shift network.
He revealed that the two were amazed after knowing from Kim himself that GMA-7 offered him to be part of its network.
Meanwhile, Kim Atienza is set to appear on the primetime newscast of Kapuso network, 24 Oras as well as on Mars Pa More alongside Iya Villania-Arellano and Camille Prats.
He will also be part of a trivia television show titled “Dapat Alam Mo!” together with Emil Sumangil and Patricia Tumulak which premieres on GTV.
