Piolo Pascual back to his home network, ABS-CBN
PIOLO PASCUAL – The Ultimate Heartthrob has returned to his home network, ABS-CBN after his short stint on TV5.
On Thursday, September 16, the actor-singer signed a contract with Kapamilya Network.
Piolo was given a red carpet welcome before his contract signing which was attended by executives of the said network such as ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, group CFO Rick Tan, Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, and his talent manager Lulu Romero.
Piolo is set to do two projects under ABS-CBN. One of which is his upcoming drama series starring the newest Kapamilya star, Lovi Poe.
It was also earlier when Lovi Poe, the daughter of late action star Fernando Poe Jr. signed a contract with the Kapamilya Network after being with GMA-7 for 15 years.
Piolo Pascual will also star in a romantic-comedy series with Angelica Panganiban, who first worked on the teleserye Mangarap Ka in 2014 and the Star Cinema movie Every Breath U Take in 2012.
It can be recalled in July that Piolo said he will remain as a Kapamilya although he cannot be seen on ABS-CBN.
Dubbed as the Ultimate Heartthrob, the 44-year-old award-winning actor rose to fame via the Kapamilya network. He has starred in some of the popular programs such as Walang Kapalit, Lobo, Lovers in Paris, Noah, and Apoy sa Dagat.
He also starred in the Star Cinema movies such as Dekada ’70, Till There Was You, Milan, Starting Over Again, The Breakup Playlist, and Last Night.
Piolo’s last Kapamilya teleserye was via the 2018 series Since I Found You.
