Kim had a blooper in the grand finals of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” on Saturday, September 18.

This, after she erred in the Bible verse she mentioned while bantering with Vice Ganda and a contestant named Psalm Manalo.

In Vice and Kim’s banter, they talked about the name of Psalm.

Kim Chiu said: “Ang ganda ng pangalan niya, Ma, ano? Psalm. Parang mga gospel iyan sa Bible.” To which Vice replied, “Psalmo, Psalmo,” or Psalm in Filipino Bible.

Kim added: “Psalm 3:16 For God so loved the world, He gave up His only son, di ba?” As Vice agreed by saying, “Yes.”

Many criticized Kim Chiu for citing the wrong Bible verse.

It is stated on the King James Version of John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Apparently, there is no Psalm 3:16 because there are only eight verses in Chapter 3 of the book of Psalms.

Several Twitter users noticed it and immediately corrected Kim Chiu since she mentioned a wrong Bible verse.

Kim Chiu retweeted a fan’s post wherein she apologized for her mistake.

Meanwhile, Psalm Manalo failed to clinch the title as Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 5 grand winner after earning only the eight (8) spot.

Reiven Umali, on the other hand, was declared the winner of TNT’s 5th season. He took home a total of more than 1 million pesos. Umali joins the rank of winners from season 1 namely Noven Belleza, Janine Berdin, Elaine Duran and JM Yosures.
