He’s popular online because of the health and medical tips he shared through his Facebook page (with 16 million followers) and YouTube channel (with 6.5 million subscribers).

In the 2019 elections, he ran for senator under Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) but failed to secure a spot in the Senate.

Last year, he was granted an interview via GMA magazine show, Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho.

At one point, she was asked by Jessica Soho if he will enter again the politics.

He said: “Walang benefit sa akin eh, it’s bad for my health. Wala naman akong balak magnakaw, di ko kailangan yung fame.”

He added that he’s only after for the welfare of his sick patients.
