In a tweet, the comedian-host couldn’t contain his emotion among people who instead become contented with the help they receive, demands of cash, or other goods in return.

He wrote: “Pag tinulungan ka ng cash bongga yun. Pero ung may tinulong sayong ibang bagay tapos nagrequest ka kung pwedeng iconvert na lng sa cash or baka pwedeng iba na lng is kinda bastos! Very wrong.”

Vice Ganda is one of the many artists who have no qualms when it comes to helping others, especially to those who become guests or contestants of his shows who are really deserving of help.

Many netizens agree with his statement and some said they can relate to the experience of the TV host.

However, there are also netizens who defend the ‘bastos’ ones being helped.

According to them, although this approach is really rude, they cannot be blamed especially since the country is in the middle of a pandemic.

Bandera noted in its article that the netizens also have a point because it’s really different when it comes to cash, you can buy more than what you really need but not everyone is able to provide financial assistance. And the important thing is we learn to share the blessings whether small or big.

Vice Ganda whose real name is Jose Marie Viceral started out as a singer, then as a comedian for Punchline and The Library, whose owner Andrew de Real gave him the stage name “Vice Ganda.”

At present, he is a regular host on ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It’s Showtime.
