Paolo Contis opened up about working with Yen Santos in “A Faraway Land”
Actor Paolo Contis recently opened up about working with actress Yen Santos in the movie “A Faraway Land”.
“A Faraway Land” was set in Denmark’s Faroe Islands wherein a “complicated love story” sparked between a reporter working on a documentary about OFWs and a married woman.
The said movie started streaming on Netflix last weekend and had since landed on the number one spot in the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
During the virtual press conference for the said movie last Wednesday, Paolo said that he’s “very thankful” for the opportunity to work with Yen. According to Paolo, Yen was “very professional” and was “very easy” to work with.

Paolo was also asked what advice he would give to Nico Mercado, who fell in love deeply with a married woman. He said that he didn’t have any advice to give because he’s the one who needed it.
“Kung merong matututo kay Nico — ako ‘yon or tayo ‘yon. You live once, you give your all because at the end of the day, win, lose, or draw, wala kang pagsisisi sa sarili mo,” Paolo said.
GMA News Online reported that the movie had Nico leaving Mahjoy behind in the Faroe Islands, which helped the actor realize how a lot of things in life were uncertain.
On how the actor can relate to Nico, meanwhile, Paolo told GMA News Online that they shared some traits but were also different in a way. Still, he said that Paolo and Nico were almost the same.
“Maginoo pero medyo pilyo rin,” Paolo added.
