John Regala on Mel Francisco: “Nalungkot at lumuha ako dahil kahit ano ang mangyari, ama ko pa rin siya.”
John Regala admitted that he was shocked by Mel Francisco’s death, whom he called “Papa Mel.”
It was on Sunday, July 25 when former actor Adolfo Padilla Scheerer Jr. or better known by his screen name Mel Francisco passed away.
Many were saddened by his death especially his alleged son John Regala.
In an interview via PEP.ph, he said: “Nabigla po ako sa pagpanaw niya. Nalungkot at lumuha ako dahil kahit ano ang mangyari, ama ko pa rin siya.
“Hindi ako nagtatanim ng tampo o galit laban sa kanya dahil matagal ko na siyang pinatawad,” he added.
He said it was painful for him because his parents passed away one year after another.
His mother Ruby Regala died at the age of 72 in February 2020.
Although the relationship between him and his father was complicated, John insisted that he would remain a son to Mel even if he rejected him.
“Masakit po sa kahit kaninong anak ang maulila sa magulang, ngunit pilit kong kakayanin ito sa awa at tulong ng Ama ko sa langit,” he said.
He added: “Sana, bigyan na lang natin ng katahimikan ang Papa ko. Sa ayaw at sa gusto niya, anak niya ako at ama ko siya!”
