Will John Prats choose It’s Showtime over Ang Probinsyano?
JOHN PRATS – The actor-director is currently being rumored that he’s going to leave the top-rating primetime ABS-CBN series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano for It’s Showtime.
John portrays the role of Msgt. Jerome Girona, a member of Task Force Aguila in the series.
However, his character in the series is said to be ending soon. But his management company, Cornerstone Entertainment, is yet to give a concrete statement regarding the matter.
The cast and crew of Ang Probinsyano starring Coco Martin are having a lock-in taping in Ilocos Sur that will last for a month.
Many are wondering what will happen to his character in the series since he’s also the director of the noontime program, It’s Showtime.
According to Bandera, he needs to focus on his directorial stint which might conflict with the taping schedule of Ang Probinsyano.
It can be recalled that John Prats first had his directorial stint during the Tagpuan concert of Moira dela Torre in February 2018 held in KIA Theater followed by K Brosas’s concert in April.
John has no formal studies when it comes to directing, that’s why he’s thankful for the success of his first directorial job.
He has directed 12 concerts already with his most recent assignment as director of It’s Showtime, replacing Bobet Vidanes.
Based on the claims of entertainment columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis, John was mentored by director and ABS-CBN Production head Laurenti Dyogi.
Meanwhile, John Prats started his showbiz career when he became part of the youth-oriented variety show, Ang TV.
He is the older brother of actress Camille Prats. He’s married to actress Isabel Oli and now has three kids.
