Actor John Prats admitted that his wife Isabel Oli is his number one critic.
During his guesting in “Magandang Buhay” on Wednesday along with his wife, the actor became open about his work as a director.
Prats is now the director of the Kapamilya network’s program “It’s Showtime.”
According to him, he’s still not used to being called Direk John.
“Ang main objective that’s why I’m directing, it’s not para sa akin, kasi alam ko ang feeling na nararamdaman ng mga artist at alam ko rin at inaalam ko rin ang gusto ng ating mga Kapamilya. So ‘yun ‘yun ang lagi ko lang iniisip. So kapag naa-appreciate nila, sobra akong masaya kasi para sa kanila ‘yon ‘yung mga napapanood nila,” he said.
Prats began his directorial stint as director of ABS-CBN’s Christmas Special last year.
On the program, Prats also shared that his wife is his number one critic.
“Ang No. 1 basher ko talaga si Liv, siya talaga ‘yan. Sa lahat ng concert na ginagawa ko, sa lahat, Christmas Special, eh number one talaga ‘yang (basher). Kasi bago magsimula ‘yung concert like ‘yung unang Moira namin… nag-sold out, two days. Eh first time kang magdidirek, siyempre kinakabahan ka. Isip ka nang isip, paano ko ba gagawin ito, kailangan maganda ang pasok nito, kailangan sulit. Sabi ni Liv, ‘Oy ah, congrats ha, sold out ‘yung concert ha. At least successful ‘yung ticket. So, ikaw na lang.’ Sabi ko, ‘Salamat ha, salamat sa pressure na ibinibigay mo ha.’ Kasi totoo naman,” he said.
