Luis Manzano’s meme post about the Olympics caught the attention of Pinay Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz.
After Filipina weightlifter won her first Olympics gold medal in Tokyo, social media greetings from ordinary netizens and even famous personalities followed.
ABS-CBN host Luis Manzano, who is known for making funny posts on social media, also made a greeting.
Following Hidilyn’s win, the host made a meme post.
He posted on his social media accounts an edited preview link from the ABS-CBN News site.
The edited post is accompanied by the caption: “IN PHOTO: 2016 Rio Olympics gold medalist sa pa-gwapuhan during the awarding #…”
The edited title of the meme noted: “LOOK: Filipino Luis Manzano with Olympic gold medal.”
Luis, on the other hand, wrote: “Congrats kay Ma’m Hidilyn Diaz, pero sana wag tayo makalimot sa unang nagdala ng ginto sa larangan ng pa-gwapuhan #pinoypride”
On Sunday, the Pinay Olympic gold medalist commented on Luis’ post: “Ikaw ata yun.”
He immediately reacted and did not miss an opportunity to congratulate Hidilyn.
To which he responded: “Ma’m!!! Congrats!!!”
