Here’s an update about the health condition of Ate Shawee
ATE SHAWEE – The impersonator of Megastar Sharon Cuneta is battling liver cirrhosis.
The comedian whose real name is Marvin Martinez celebrated her 45th birthday on July 15.
But instead of celebrating, she seems to be losing hope because of her current health situation.
In an interview via PEP.ph, her niece Rafaela de Jesus shared her aunt’s struggle with liver cirrhosis.
“May liver cirrhosis siya. Nag-start lang po sa fatty liver noong December 2020, tapos nag-take siya ng medication pero biglang lumubo ang tiyan niya,” she said.
“Nang magpa-check up siya last month, liver cirrhosis na pala, malala na. Na-confine po siya sa Chinese General Hospital pero lumabas na siya last week. Pabalik-balik siya sa ospital para i-drain ang tiyan niya,” she added.
On July 2, Ate Shawee posted on social media: “Hindi na pala ako gagaling. Lumabas man babalik uli [sa] ospital. Walang-wala na ako. Umaasa lang ako sa mga nagbibigay ng tulong sa akin. Di ko na yata kakayanin, anuman ang mangyari, konti na lang suko na ako.”
Senator Bong Revilla Jr. and Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno were some of those who sent financial help to Ate Shawee.
