“I agree with him. There should only be one Estrada,” says JV Ejercito
Former senator JV Ejercito agreed with his brother Jinggoy Estrada that “there should only be one Estrada” in the 2022 elections.
JV agreed with the former senator Jinggoy that there should only be one Estrada running for a senatorial seat in next year’s poll.
“I agree with him. There should only be one Estrada,” JV said in an interview with ANC.
According to Ejercito, the result of the upcoming election might be similar in the 2019 polls wherein they failed to clinch the Top 12 if they run together.
“So it will be 2019 all over again. It would be difficult. We will just be wasting time, money, and effort by running together,” JV explained.
In the 2019 elections, Ejercito was ranked 13th, while Estrada was 15th.
Jinggoy first revealed that he may run in 2022, while JV is still thinking about it.
Meanwhile, several well-known personalities have already expressed their interest to join the senatorial bid.
One of which is Leyte Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez who earlier gave a hint of possibly running in next year’s poll.
