Instagram was reportedly working on “Exclusive Stories” paid subscription feature.
Instagram was reportedly working on a paid subscription feature called “Exclusive Stories” as some screenshots about the said feature have made rounds online.
Gizguide reported that Instagram users may not be able to view a creator’s story highlight soon due to Instagram’s upcoming paid subscription feature called “Exclusive Stories”.
When regular Instagram users stumbled upon an Exclusive Story, Instagram will tell them that “only members” can view the said content.
The said feature was revealed by software developer Alessandro Paluzzi as he shared some screenshots and snippets of information about the rumored feature on Twitter.

According to Paluzzi, the said feature wasn’t possible to take screenshots of exclusive stories, adding that the subscribe button will appear in their profile when a user has a fan club.
Paluzzi also shared that the Exclusive Stories icon will turn into purple and even exclusive stories can also be saved to a Highlight so that fans always have something to see when they joined.
TechCrunch reported that Instagram confirmed that the screenshots of the said feature recently circulated across social media were from an internal prototype that was currently in development, but not yet being publicly tested as of this writing.
It was also reported that Instagram declined to share any specific details about the company’s plans, saying they’re “not at a place to talk about this project just yet”.
