Roque on Duterte: “Meron siyang unfinished business…”
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque revealed the reasons why President Rodrigo Duterte changed his mind and wanted to run for vice president in the 2022 elections.
Earlier, Duterte said that running for the position of vice president is not a bad idea if there is space for him.
“Sinagot naman po yan ni Presidente no, meron siyang unfinished business pagdating sa droga, pagdating sa corruption. Pero ang sinabi naman niya, eh kinukunsidera niyang tumakbo only if there is a space for him. Kung wala naman po, eh ok lang for him,” ani Roque.
Roque said the only obstacle he sees in case President Duterte runs for vice president is if the candidate he supports does not win as the next president.
“Ang isang nakikita niyang problema kung siya ay tatakbong VP ay baka kontra-partido sila ng Presidente at hindi niya magagawa ang unfinished business nya. So binanggit niya yan bilang isang balakid,” he added.
