The cast of Voltes V: Legacy, GMA-7’s live-action adaptation of the hit Japanese anime, will start lock-in taping soon.
Recently, director Mark Reyes took to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein he gave a hint of the upcoming taping.
His post was accompanied by the caption: “I decided to bring this guy along with me as my power totem and lucky charm for our first lock-in. Have an ultra-electromagnetic weekend.”
Meanwhile, it was on January 14 when the Kapuso Network released a second teaser for the Philippine adaptation of the hit anime.
It earned mixed reactions from the netizens particularly on YouTube.
Some netizens described the latest trailer of the upcoming series as epic and breathtaking while others are skeptical.
Voltes V: Legacy stars with Ysabel Ortega as Jamie, Raphael Landicho as Little Jon, Matt Lozano as Big Bert, Radson Flores as Mark, and Miguel Tanfelix as Steve.
Voltes V is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise.
It is the second installment of the Robot Romance Trilogy, which also includes Chōdenji Robo Combattler V and Tōshō Daimos.
Despite moderate success in Japan, the series was extremely popular in the Philippines, Cuba and Indonesia.
