Miss World for Rabiya Mateo?
Miss Universe Philippines reigning queen Rabiya Mateo is being considered by pageant fans as a strong contender in another international pageant like Miss World.
The Ilongga beauty queen finished in the Top 21 of the 69th edition of the highly anticipated pageant.
During a virtual interview with host Boy Abunda, she aired air her side after learning that some are rooting her for the Miss World crown.
“I’ve been reading a lot of comments. I remember after I lost, nag-trending agad ‘yung ‘Rabiya for the World’ [on social media],” she said.
“I was making jokes na, ‘Hindi pa nga okay ‘yung paltos ko sa paa, gusto niyo na naman akong sumali!'” she added.
But she is not closing her doors, considering it in the next two years.
She said: “Let’s give it two years siguro. Let’s see. I’m not closing any door… who knows?”
The first pageant the 24-year-old Iloilo based-beauty queen of Indian descent joined was Miss Universe Philippines.
