Beauty queen-turned-actress Cindy Miranda is happy with the news that Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo will also enter showbiz.
The Ilongga beauty queen represented the country at the 69th Miss Universe pageant.
According to Cindy Miranda, she was not surprised by Rabiya’s decision to try acting as well.
“Unang-una, siyempre gusto ko po siyang i-congratulate, ang galing niya, pinanood ko talaga yung Miss Universe at sobrang proud ako sa kanya,” she said.
“Yung pagsali niya sa showbiz ay hindi nakakagulat kasi napakaganda naman niya talaga at yung karisma niya talaga ang lakas. Ang ganda niya sa mga pictures niya, sa videos niya. Nakakatuwa siya kasi parang feeling ko totoong-totoong tao siya,” she added.
Cindy Miranda is also pleased that many beauty queens are showing interest in acting.
She also shared her learnings from the beauty pageant that she used in her showbiz journey.
“As a beauty queen po, feeling ko equipped talaga kami na humarap sa mga tao. Yon yung advantage ko kasi trained kami kung paano humarap nang maganda kahit na kaninong tao,” she said.
Cindy Miranda stars in the movie Nerisa alongside Aljur Abrenica, AJ Raval, Sean de Guzman, Elizabeth Oropesa and many others. The film is directed by Lawrence Fajardo and is produced by Viva Films.
