A Filipina-American who’s working as a nurse assistant was stabbed to death by her own husband in Lemon Grove City in California, USA.
The victim identified as Rhona Fantone, a 30-year-old nurse assistant, was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Based on the report, 911 received a call in connection with a domestic dispute at the couple’s home.
The police responded immediately.
But even before they arrived at the couple’s home, they allegedly heard the victim’s scream.
When the authorities forcibly entered the house, they saw the victim lying on the floor and bathed in her own blood, while the suspect’s husband, identified as Jay Barcelon, 31, was also bleeding.
Fantone did not make it to the hospital alive due to stab wounds to her body.
The suspect, who is currently facing a murder charge, underwent the operation.
Investigators have not yet released the details and motive of Barcelon’s murder of his wife.
According to her loved ones, Rhona is cheerful and a good child as well as a sister.
She dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse in the US.
The victim left her two children.
