Balut Vendor Stabbed to Death in Boracay

A balut vendor died instantly after being stabbed by a fellow balut vendor in Barangay Yapak, Boracay Island last Friday night.

According to the Boracay Police report, the victim was identified as Janito Descalzo, 56, a native of Dao, Capiz.

On the other hand, the suspect was identified as Romeo Tibangin, a native of Pangasinan.

Boracay Fire and Rescue Volunteers Incorporated and Malay MDRRMO personnel responded immediately when the incident took place.

Based on the initial investigation by the police, the two quarreled over the price of balut in Boracay.

The witnesses said that the victim turned his back while guarding his goods when the suspect suddenly rushed and stabbed him.

Police have arrested the suspect and authorities are preparing a case against him.
