Fire hits a house in Sta. Cruz Manila; Mother and child were trapped inside
A mother and her child died after being trapped amid a fire that hit a house in Barangay 352 in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
The incident started at 6:00 a.m. at the De Leon family’s home.
The victims were identified as Frencelyn De Leon, 36, a vendor, and her child Precious De Leon, 7.
According to a witness, she saw the victims on the window trying to get out of the burning house.
Unfortunately, they were not able to escape the catastrophe after flames engulfed the house.
Before the fire rage the house, loud explosions were heard inside the victim’s house.
The victims are said to be just tenants of the ravaged house.
The fire has reached a second alarm before it was put out by the responding firemen of the BFP.
De Leon’s live-in partner Jonel Mandap, 36, was injured and taken to the hospital.
Authorities are still investigating how the fire started.
