Filipino-American actress Giselle Tongi (also known as G Tongi) successfully completed her graduate studies at the Antioch University in Los Angeles, California.
PUSH reported that Giselle recently achieved her new academic milestone as she completed her graduate studies at the Antioch University in Los Angeles, California.
Giselle took up non-profit management courses started her graduate studies last 2019. Initially, the classes were taken in person, but it was moved online last March 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic happened.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Giselle disclosed that she thought of non-profit management because it was similar to attaining an MBA (Master in Business Administration), but adding the NGO (non-government organization) social good structure.
Giselle remarked that she wanted to learn how to manage an organization in order for her to create “sustainability for future generations”.

She also shared that she’s able to apply her learnings from school to her role at the FilAm Arts at that time. According to her, her learnings from graduate school had equipped her with the tools for her future work.
Giselle said that being in a graduate school truly deepened her understanding of programming logic models and also gave her the necessary language and tools in order for her to evaluate the impact of the work that she’s passionate about.
“As a charitable organization, it is our mission to advocate for platforms and opportunities for the Fil-Am artist community and this really resonates with my professional goals, especially as diversity, equity and cultural inclusion becomes top of mind for philanthropic funders,” Giselle said.
