2 Arrested for Allegedly Offering Fake Driver’s License in Iloilo City

Two fixers were arrested after allegedly offering fake driver’s licenses in Iloilo City, Friday afternoon, April 9.

Based on the investigation by the authorities, the two are offering fake licenses in the amount of P6,000 to P7,000.

In the entrapment operation conducted by Land Transportation Office 6 (LTO-6) and Mandurriao Police Station, an operative pretended to be a customer after receiving information about the modus operandi of the two suspects.

According to Assistant Regional Director Gaudioso Geduspan of LTO-6, the arrest of the two suspects was a follow-up operation by the agency on the previous arrest of a suspect who also forged the driver’s license.

The two suspects are now in custody and are set to be charged with violating the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
