Australian doctor Dr. Adam Smith — also known as “Doc Adam” — debunks Raffy Tulfo’s statement about Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19 in his latest video.
Doc Adam was recognized for his courage in correcting what he knew was misinformation being shared on the internet and many weren’t surprised that he even debunked Raffy Tulfo’s statement.
It may be recalled that Raffy Tulfo reported that news had allegedly reached him about some anomalies in the practice of some agencies related to medicines and vaccines against COVID-19.
Known for his concern for the oppressed, netizens also lamented Raffy Tulfo’s statement about the anomalies in the practice of some agencies related to medicines and vaccines against COVID-19 — including the disapproval of some medicines that he said were cheaper and could help Filipinos who couldn’t afford to pay much.

Ivermectin was one of the medicines Raffy Tulfo mentioned in his statement uploaded on his YouTube channel.
According to Doc Adam, Ivermectin had not been approved in many countries because there’s no study yet to prove its validity.
“Ayon sa kasalukuyang ebidensiya, hindi pwede palitan ang vaccines ng Ivermectin. Tandaan dito. Sinabi ko na. Wala pang sapat na ebidensiya dito,” Doc Adam said.
Doc Adam also said that he described Tulfo’s statement as a “conspiracy theory”, adding that the public should need to “look at the evidence and not just use our emotions and conspiracy theories” in order to make decisions about what to do.
He also clarified that he wasn’t against Raffy Tulfo, but he’s disappointed about Tulfo’s statement considering that Tulfo has more than 19 million subscribers on YouTube as of this writing.
A lot of netizens thanked Doc Adam for being brave enough to reveal what he knew was right in order to enlighten the public. According to other netizens, based on their acquaintance with Raffy Tulfo, he knew how to accept corrections and will be grateful for that.
