In her latest post on her Instagram account, Angel said that the proceeds, which amounted to PHP 6 million, will be split between five cities — Manila, Pasig, Baguio, Taguig, and Quezon — and the Philippine Red Cross which were active in the fight against COVID-19 and have “solid COVID-19 Vaccination initiatives for members of their communities.”

According to Angel, those beneficiaries have reassured them that the funds they’re donating will be used for Vaccinations and Testing especially for Filipino citizens on the priority list.

We thank you for your support and please know that your contributions will help our fellow Filipinos who are most in need,” Angel said.

First launched last 2009 in response to the Ondoy calamity, Angel and Anne Curtis relaunched Shop and Share initiative last 2020 in order to raise funds to help carry out COVID-19 mass testing in the Philippines.

Celebrities who supported the initiative by donating their pre-loved items and paintings included Dingdong Dantes, Bea Alonzo, Regine Velasquez, Kathryn Bernardo, Marian Rivera, and Liza Soberano.

The surge in coronavirus infections had prompted the national government to place Metro Manila and 4 neighboring provinces (Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, and Rizal) under general community quarantine with additional restrictions from March 22 to April 4.
