Leah Navarro Says Philippines Would be Better if Mar Roxas was the President

Philippines would be better if Mar Roxas was the president, says Leah Navarro

LEAH NAVARRO – The singer and well-known Liberal Party supporter imagined the Philippines would be better if Mar Roxas became the president as the country fights the coronavirus pandemic.

Navarro reacted to Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque’s statement about how the fate of the Philippines, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, would have been if Roxas had won the 2016 presidential race.

“Can you really imagine a Roxas leading this country amidst the many trials we have had? From COVID-19 pandemic to China?” Roque said in an interview with broadcast journalist Luchi Cruz Valdez on March 24.

Roque cited Roxas’ track record when it comes to dealing with past trials in the Philippines such as Typhoon Yolanda and the Mamasapano incident.

This prompted Leah Navarro to air her side by defending Roxas.

According to her, Roxas’ management skills are very much needed now because President Duterte is said to be “palpak” in that aspect.

“Yes, I can imagine a better Philippines if Mar Roxas was president. The lessons from Yolanda were well learned, he made the NDRRMC very effective moving forward. Roxas had no part in Mamasapano. His management skills are sorely needed now. #DutertePalpak has zero,” she tweeted.
