DILG on Mark Anthony Fernandez vaccination: “Kahit saang anggulo, legally and morally, mali.”
COVID-19 VACCINATION – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Wednesday that the inoculation of actor Mark Anthony Fernandez was “legally and morally” wrong.
Last week, the actor was inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine as part of the quick substitution list of Parañaque City.
According to Mark, “no violation is made because I’m on second priority list and some people on the list didn’t show up.”
Mark is also being questioned how he received the COVID-19 vaccine despite he’s not a medical frontliner.
But DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing that Mark Anthony Fernandez being part of the quick substitution list is not a “valid excuse.”
“Hindi pa rin po. ‘Yung unang excuse nila na nasa quick substitution list. Kung ikaw ay A1 (health worker), A1 pa rin ang substitutes,” he said.
“Kahit saang anggulo, legally and morally, mali,” he added.
Meanwhile, DILG has ordered Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez to explain alleged violations in the prioritization framework of the COVID-19 vaccination program in the city.
COVID-19 vaccination has been rolled-out across the country to combat the rapid increase of COVID-19.
Among those who were on the priority list of the COVID-19 vaccination program are medical frontliners, persons with comorbidities, and senior citizens.
