Claire dela Fuente’s Son Gigo Speaks About Mother’s Death
CLAIRE DELA FUENTE’S SON – Gigo de Guzman was in tears as he narrated the happenings before the death of his mother, Claire dela Fuente.
The death of singer Claire dela Fuente left countless hearts shocked and saddened. She died of cardiac arrest after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
Prior to her unexpected demise, Claire was quite active in interviews and in social media as he defended her son, Gregorio “Gigo” de Guzman, against the accusations to him and his friends.
Gigo is one the respondents in the case of the death of Christine Angelica Dacera, the 23-year-old flight attendant who was found dead in a hotel in Makati City last January 1.
Recently, Gigo de Guzman broke his silence on the death of Claire dela Fuente. He confirmed his mother’s passing and narrated the happenings prior to her demise.
Based on a video of Gigo, he and his mother tested positive for COVID-19. He is asymptomatic while she experienced symptoms including breathing difficulty. The singer was having anxiety after testing positive for the disease.
Claire dela Fuente’s son shared that prior to the singer’s death, when she was still at home, she asked him to accompany her and be beside her as they’re both positive and she’s anxious.
The singer does not want to be brought to the hospital but her oxygen level fell. According to Gigo, his last conversation with his mother was when she was already at the hospital and she asked him to send her food.
Gigo is under isolation now. Only his sibling tested negative for COVID-19 and it pains him that he could not help and be there for his younger brother. Meanwhile, he assured that Claire raised them to be strong and independent and they can make it through.
In the video, Claire dela Fuente’s son was in tears as he stressed that he did not expect his mother to be gone soon. He expressed his wish that they have talked before she died as the singer refused to speak. She was already having breathing difficulties then.
