Update on Christine Dacera Case After PNP Report Was Released
CHRISTINE DACERA CASE – Gregorio de Guzman, the son of singer Claire dela Fuente who is one of the respondents, spoke on the case.
The death of Christine Angelica Dacera has taken social media by storm and caught national attention. Charges were filed against some of the people she was with prior to her death.
Christine was found dead in a hotel in Makati City last January 1. She and her friends checked in at City Garden Grand Hotel for the New Year celebration.
According to her friends, the decision to book a hotel and welcome the New Year together was agreed by most of their circle of friends. On New Year’s eve, they were also introduced by one of their friends to some people staying in another room. They had hard drinks.
However, the following morning, according to Rommel Galido, he found Christine Dacera unconscious in a bathtub of the hotel. They rushed her to Makati Medical Center after they tried to revive her but she was declared dead on arrival.
The initial findings was ruptured aortic aneurysm. The Dacera family is not convinced with it citing the bruises in her body. Recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) submitted it medico-legal report and ruptured aneurysm remains to be the cause of her death.

Gregorio de Guzman, the son of singer Claire dela Fuente, is one of those who were linked to the Christine Dacera case. Speaking to ANC, he stressed that all they want is for it to be over.
“We’re also affected by this… We’re so shocked by it and from day one we’ve been trying to figure it out,” Gigo said.
Based on the report, Gigo de Guzman expressed that they have yet to discuss with their lawyer the possibility of a filing charges over what happened to them. He also clarified that, initially, the PNP did not think that a foul play took place until someone allegedly ignited it.
The son of Claire dela Fuente was emotional as he narrated that his friends, Clark Rapina, Rommel Galido, and JP dela Serna, lost their jobs. To help them in paying for a lawyer to defend them, he has sought his aunt and his friends’ help to raise fund for them.
According to him, they are willing to talk to Christine’s mother, Sharon Dacera, over the matter but they have not thought about it yet as they’re focusing on the legal side.
