Former Baker Passes Physician Board Examination & Finally Reaches Dream to Become a Doctor

A former baker’s hard work finally pay off after he passed the March 2021 Physician Licensure Examination.

A Facebook user named Rommel Abellar Amos has shared the hardships and difficulties he went through just to reach his dreams. The post earned praises from the online community.

The 37-year-old guy from Eastern Samar worked hard to finish his studies. Rommel also saved some amount from his salary so he could reach his dream to become a doctor. He had worked in different work places just to finance his studies.

Rommel had his first work as a water refiller at Mega P&F Water Station in 2005. He also worked as a merchandiser at SM San Lazaro Supermarket in 2006. He even tried to work as a marketing assistant in SYM motors in 2007.

The hardworking man becomes a sales clerk at SM Megamall in 2008 and worked as assistant baker in 2017 to support his studies. He completed his medical studies in 2019 at Cagayan State University Tuguegarao City and took the Physician Licensure Examination in March 2021.

“Let us just treat poverty as a challenge, not an obstacle. I think that my humble beginnings were very deliberate, and I’m grateful for them because I’m not sure I would see my achievements the same way if they were handed to me. So I EARNED them,” Abellar said.
