The celebrity doctor was the keynote speaker at the National Women’s Month celebration in Bataan province on Friday, March 26, 2020.

According to her, the insults she experienced were the reason why Dra. Belo decided to become a doctor of beauty.

Dra. Vicki Belo said: “I thought then that because I was fat and ugly, my real parents didn’t like me and decided to give me away.

“So, I had to be become a doctor who could make people beautiful so their parents won’t give them away,” she added.

She also didn’t forget to mention that “beautiful” means “belo” in Portuguese and Italian.

Dra. Vicki then talked about the transformation of the four women she helped.

These include events host Bianca Valerio, ABS-CBN artist Morisette Amon, Jinkee Pacquiao, and most recently The Clash Season 3 champion Jessica Villarubin.

“It really makes me happy when I see how the physical changes in my patients affect them in the most positive way,” she said.
