“BAWAL ANG PAGLALAKAD” – The local government of Cavite banned certain activities as it enters another enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Recently, the Facebook Page “Proud Caviteno” posted an infographic showing which activities were banned under the ECQ. But apparently, “walking” was among the activities residents aren’t allowed to do.

“Paglalakad, Pagtambay, Jogging, Zumba, ATBP, Bawal na sa ilalim ng ECQ”, the infographic said.

“Awit lods, required na atang lumipad”, some netizens joked. Meanwhile, here are some other comments from the post:

Obviously, most netizens took this as sarcastic joke. However, some missed that part and emphaszied how most of the people don’t have good comprehension skills.

Amid the recent surge in COVID-19 cases well past the previous all-time highs, provinces within the new NCR Plus Bubble were placed under an ECQ until April 4.

Last year, the peak daily COVID-19 cases reported was about 6,000 plus per day. However, last week, the Department of Health documented over 9,000 infections.

Meanwhile, here are the top 5 guidelines from the IATF regarding the ECQ:

  1. “Authorised Persons Outside Residence” (APOR) rule is to be strictly followed & implemented.
  2. Essential movement of people are only allowed for groceries, pharmacies, banks, remittance centers and for medical facilities.
  3. Public loitering is not allowed. Kung hindi lang APOR ay strictly stay at home ang orders.
  4. Leisure activities are not allowed such as walking, jogging, zumba, tambay and parties.
  5. No Q-Pass required but barangay officials shall check and enforce APOR.
