Recently, Miss Trans Global 2020 Mela Franco Habijan took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter calling the attention of Marvin Agustin over a job posting banning the LGBT community.

In her post, the beauty queen was furious at a text message banning LGBT applicants courtesy of allegedly, Dimsum Factory, a known dim sum restaurant endorsed by Marvin Agustin.

“It has come to our attention that the dimsum brand you endorse seem to be LGBTQIA-phobic. In this SMS, it is blatantly stated that “LGBT are not allowed to apply,” she wrote.

“More so, it discriminates people with tattoos and people in their mid 30s too,” she added.

According to her, “workplaces that discriminate people do not deserve to operate.”

In the later part of her tweet, she said that such a message is one of the reasons why the LGBT community continues to stand for the anti-discrimination bill or the Sogie Equality Bill.

Marvin Agustin has already issued a statement regarding the alleged job posting banning the members of the LGBT community.

“Hi Miss Mela! Thank you for tagging me. I just spoke with the owner of Dimsum Factory and he told me that they would never send a poorly worded and obviously wrong message like this. And they tell me this isnt even an address thay have. They are preparing a statement regarding this matter.”
