Female teacher arrested due to illegal drugs
A female teacher in Gonzaga, Cagayan was arrested by the authorities for illegal drugs following a search operation on Thursday, February 18.
26 sachet of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia were retrieved in the said operation according to Police Capt. Jhun Jhun Balisi, chief of Gonzaga Police.
The police also found a sachet in the stacked laundry basket containing alleged shabu weighing about 10 grams.
It is estimated that the confiscated shabu from the female teacher who’s included in the Regional High-Value Target List of drug personalities worth as much as P68,000.
“May intelligence report na yung item niya galing sa Santa Ana, Santa Teresita, Aparri pati sa Santiago City,” Balisi said.
In 2019, the female teacher was also arrested for the same case but released after posting bail.
“Ongoing yung hearing ng kaso niya,” Balisi noted.
Authorities were also able to retrieve 13 rounds of ammunition from the said operation but according to the suspect, they were only using the bullets as an amulet.
The female teacher is facing charges on the violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act and Illegal Possession of Ammunitions.
Meanwhile, her sibling was also the target of the operation. However, he escaped.
