Netizens questioned its relevance amid several issues faced by the education sector due to the pandemic.

In a series of tweets, the DepEd asked: “Anong Kapalaran Mo Ngayong Valentine’s?”

However, past 2 p.m. on Saturday, the tweets have been removed.

But it has already taken a toll on the netizens.

“You really think this helps your stakeholders, primarily the students?” Twitter user Jereza.

Teacherlalon on the other hand noted: “I’m all for your pa-relevant tweets to appeal more to your audience, but this is counterproductive to the kind of thinking we want our students to have,”

“And considering the age group where most of them are in, romantic relationship isn’t one of those things they should be worrying about right now,” the user added.

Singer Leah Navarro also reacted to the controversial post of DepEd.

While some are enjoying the said post, others were confused if the education department was really behind it.

The Department of Education has yet to issue any statement regarding the matter.
